Intro
Miami, Florida is one of the nations most frequented vacation sites. With businesses and
buildings booming all around, and direct access from South America and Europe, Miami has
managed to establish itself as one the country’s major cities. But how many of us have been on
vacation and just can’t seem to get away from the buzz and hustle that a major U.S. city can be?
Constant street noise, cars honking out your window, traffic all around, it can all be just a little too
much at times. But where do you go then? < Hotel Name >, a small and green-sustainable
establishment, is located just twenty-five minutes north of Miami, in Sunny Isles Beach. A more
tranquil and relaxed area, yet with all of the perks of Miami, Sunny Isles has quick and easy beach
access, a variety of dining options, and shopping for all kinds of budgets. In a world full of chaos,
we offer you green peace and tranquility.
11 Green Guidelines
< Hotel Name > is a hotel resort made up of 100 rooms situated in the beautiful Sunny Isles
Beach, Florida. Having had the luck to establish our resort in a place as beautiful and wonderful as
Sunny Isles, we intend to appreciate and take care of our community and environment. Because of
this, < Hotel Name > is an operation which consist of green practices and follows the American
Hotel and Lodging Association eleven minimum green guidelines. For starters, our hotel has
pledged to develop a responsible environmental green plan for energy, water, and solid waste use.
When it comes to energy, because our resort is of a small size, our hotel runs on 100% renewable
energy that is powered through our sun panels, located on the roof of the hotel. Everything from
guest-room lighting to the heating of water is powered with renewable energy. In relation to water
and its conservation – all of our showers, including guest room ones, are equipped with 2.5
gallons-per-minute showerheads, as well as 1.6-gallon toilets. This means that all of our showers
and toilets in the facility will be using less water than the conventional hotel bathrooms, without
sacrificing performance. Along with our showerheads and toilets, our hotel is equipped with
energy star washers, dryers, and refrigerators– appliances specially designed to conserve water
and electricity. All of this, of course, maintaining and contributing to our water and energy
responsible environmental plans.
