1.) After submission of a resume, if a job posting lists a close date, don’t call or
write before then, because the company is still collecting applications. You
should: wait at least 1-2 weeks after the close date, before following up.
2.) Whenever you mail, email, hand-deliver, or upload your resume, you should
include an application letter or C/V.
3.) To write an effective application letter, show that you understand the
company and it’s competitors and also your reasons for wanting the job.
4.) The format of your application letter must persuade the recipient into
reading it.
5.) When sending a solicited application letter you should include in the
opening paragraph how you found out about the job.
6.) The middle section of your cover letter should Present you strongest
selling point.
7.) Following up on your resume by email or telephone demonstrates that you
are interested in working for the organization a question that you should
