The company World Wrestling Entertainment is a part of the entertainment industry.
More specifically speaking, WWE is a part of the sports entertainment which is a sub-industry of
the entertainment industry. With this being said, the entertainment industry falls into the market
structure of oligopoly. This means that it is a market structure in which there are only a few
sellers of a commodity.
One characteristic of an oligopoly is price-making power. This directly relates to WWE
in the aspect that for their entertainment services, tickets, prices for pay-per views, and
merchandise, they set all of those prices. They directly decide their prices because it is theirs.
Another characteristic of an oligopoly is non-price competition. This relates to WWE because
