Mill's Utilitarianism (81-85)
The very idea of happiness has many concepts. Whether we accept it or not happiness comes
hand in hand with pleasure. For instance once I went to the movie theatre and there was a small
clip that was added to the commercials made my disneyland. In this commercial you had a mid-
aged man. He would always wake up every morning, get dressed, and but coffee on his way to
heart. But every day his body and brain fought. The brain had been programmed to a schedule
and it didn't let the body fall into temptations.Once he would arrive at work he'd get on the
computer and work. Literally everyone was doing the same thing in the office. Point is that one
day he the brain took time to process the fact that in his job there were old man that didn't look
happy.These old man had once been his age and they were workaholics and it got them nowhere
because that had no pleasure in life. In this very moment the brain lets that body decide for one.
The pleasures of having and ice cream, or flirting, or going to the beach brought joy to his life.
After all we do only live once and we learn, just like that man in the small clip that we have to have
