INTRODUCTION
Managers always look for organizational designs that will support and facilitate
employees work and tasks effectively and efficiently, and they face certain
challenges in the process: they have to keep employees connected. And they also
have to manage with structural issues, build a learning organization, and design
flexible work arrangements.
Organizational design is a step–by-step methodology which identifies dysfunctional
aspects of work flow, procedures, structures and systems, realigns them to fit current
business realities and goals and then develops plans to implement the new changes.
The process focuses on improving both the technical and people side of the
business.
Managers have to understand what the core competences of the business are, and
design an organization that enhances their effectiveness while mitigating their risks;
they have to inspect how the organizational design interacts with the environment
