The Omniscience of God
God is a simple being that is not composed of parts. His nature is perfect, complete, and
powerful. He is the creator of everything, and everything exists because of him and for him. The
nature of God is impossible to understand, but he reveals himself in the Bible, letting us
comprehend in a finite manner attribute of his aseity to understand his persona. To obtain
salvation from this sinful world, a relationship with the creator must happen, and by
understanding his revelation in the Bible, this relationship will be two ways. One of his attributes
is omniscience. Even though God has many attributes in his simple nature, his omniscience is
one of the most important because it set him above the creation, confirms that there is nothing
outside of him, and makes him the only true God.
Omniscience is the divine attribute that God knows himself and everything in his creation
in all times, present, past, and future. By default, God is eternal and out of time; this means God’s
knowledge is also out of time. His complete knowledge allows him to be in entire control and the
definition of perfection. Omniscience allows him to know himself in completion. This meant
God is superior that humans because not only he is eternal, but his knowledge is infinite. He can
comprehend his infinite nature, something that a finite mind cannot understand.
In the book “Omniscience from a Logical Perspective,” Paul Weingartner the reality of
what omniscience implies. He comes to the conclusion that “everything that God believes is true:
(Weingartner 3). If God knows something is true in reality, not veracity. God knows everything,
