Omar Khayyam lived from 1048 to 1131 AD, existing as one of the most influential
individuals at the time. His life started out in Iran, where he spent most of his life near the court
of Karakhanid and Seljuq rulers in the period, which witnessed the First Crusade. He was a well
rounded man that impacted various fields of work during his lifetime, including astronomy,
science, poetry, philosophy and math. His mathematical theories carried over the most and
contributed to our algebra today, where schools actually utilize his methods in math classes all
over the world. He is most notable for his work on the classifications and solutions of cubic
equations, where he provided geometric solutions by the intersection of conics. His work in
