Obesity
Obesity is one of the major things that is becoming a national epidemic in the
U.S. Obesity is de!ned as the excess body fat, which is measured by body mass
index(BMI). It is a useful way to measure healthy body weight, but, it does not
measure the percentage of body fat. Obesity is a condition that can have a negative
e,ect on a person’s health. There are many reasons why people are becoming obese.
The !rst reason why many people are obese is when they consume to many
calories. In this generation, many people are consuming more junk food calories than
they need. If people want to consume eating many calories try replacing the junk
food for fruit. Fruit have many bene!ts and nutrients that are very outstanding for
the human body. Fast foods are a major NO for the human body health it is mainly
the reason why people become obese so fast. People can have the temptation to
reach for fast food instead of cooking a nice healthy meal. Why because fast food is
much quicker to get instead of taking the time to cook a meal. Though cooking a
meal can help burn calories at the same time giving that the body is moving around
most of the time. It is bene!cial to make sure that people burn half of the calories
that they consume in a day.
Physical activity has an e,ect on how the body deals with hormone. Staying
active can keep people at a sustainable weight or even help to lose weight. Physical
activity is the key to stopping people from becoming obese. Exercising for two to
three hours a day keeps the heart rate up and more likely to keep burning calories
a5er. Most Americans will eat healthy but not put in the e,ort to workout a5erwards
and think the diet is enough. Eating healthy is also a major part in losing weight,
though many people will not see major results if there is no exercise involved.
Exercise a great for keeping the heart nice and beating for long time as time goes on.
There are many di,erent types of styles of exercising that people can try instead of
just regular old walking.
