Novel Assignments 2022
You must complete two of the following activities for each week that we are reading the novel.
Once you complete one assignment you cannot use it again (yes, I keep track). Both activities
will be due on the Sunday of each week to Turnitin.com before 11:59 PM. Type both activities on
one WORD document: titling each one appropriately There are no exceptions to these due dates.
You have an entire school week for 2 novel activities and to read … couldn’t be any EASIER!!!!
Options 1-5 are for due dates: 4/10, 4/17 (1 will remain unused)
1. Character Astrology Signs: After reading brief descriptions of the astrology or sun signs,
figure out which signs you think three of the main characters from your book were born
under. Write an explanation of why you think they fit the sign, drawing on their actions,
attitudes, and thoughts from the book. (1 paragraph per character, 3 total)
2. Heroes and Superheroes: Select two or three real-life people or fictional characters your
character would think of as a hero or superhero. Describe the characteristics of the hero
and why those characteristics would be important to your character. Also describe which
characteristics your character would most want for himself/herself that the hero or
superhero possesses. (2 characters from the novel, 1 paragraph each)
3. Email Inbox: What types of email messages would this character get? Who would they be
from? Write a list of the email subject lines and who sent them to the character. Then
write the emails. How would the character respond to those messages? Write 2 emails
and 2 responses- should look like an actual email. (2 inbox emails – 2 replies) Can all be
