Some of the more important general factors affecting location choice are, access to a
capable, well-trained workforce; availability of adequate supplies and services; type and
cost of transportation; taxes and government regulations; and finally availabilities to
amenities such as water, gas, and electricity.
2. Explain the 2 most important factors in choosing a retail location.
The 2 most important factors in choose a retail location are; convenience which deals
with how close it is for customer to access the business. They main factor is choosing
location include, time as it relates to travel for customers and employees; cost, because
the economics and median salary of a given area can determine what one can charge in
that particular market and community. Product, quality and good service are also factors
that influence location choice for businesses.
3. Explain the 2 most important factors in locating a manufacturing plant.
The two important factors in locating a manufacturing plant are; the proximity of vendors
and customer and secondly the availability and cost of transportation.
