Introduction
What is K-pop? The literally definition is Korean pop music. It is a genre of music containing
various audio-visual element, domestically produced music of South Korea. K-pop has
become a truly global phenomenon thanks to its distinctive ‘hooks’ and addictive melodies,
insane looking and synchronized dance choreography, the quality and effort of the
production value, and most importantly the vast number of attractive idols performing for
their fans. For the past 2 years, the concept of K-pop had truly been recognised in the
western world, not just only true K-pop fan, even average people may have heard about K-
pop even though they do not understand the concept behind it. For example, BTS (a boy
idol group) made a worldwide sensation with their tours in the USA. They had major
concerts in the western countries, making appearance on American major talk shows (Ellen
DeGeneres), topped the Billboard 200 albums chart and won the Top Social Artist Award at
the Billboard Music Awards for two years in a row. Recognition over the world is present
and people are appreciating the culture of K-pop. Going back to the root nation of K-pop, do
