Malala Extra Credit
At only at the age of sixteen, Malala Yousafzai is probably one of the best-spoken people
I have heard in a long time. She spoke with such grace, from start to finish. Even with the slight
accent that she had, she pronounced her words as best as she could. She begins her speech by
thanking everyone that she knows, specially her doctors and nurses for helping her recover. She
makes sure that everyone knows that ‘today’ will not only be her day, but everyone’s day that
has ever stood up for something.
Malala then begins to speak about terrorism, and how she’s not the only who has been
suffering from these attacks, but she is the one that will stand up for what she believes in. She
wants everyone to know that they all deserve to be educated, be equal, and the right to have
the same opportunity.
