What is culture? Wikipedia
Culture is from the Latin cultura stemming from colere, meaning “to cultivate,”) is the social
behavior and norms found in human societies. Culture is considered a central concept in anthropology,
encompassing the range of phenomena that are transmitted through social learning in
human societies. Some aspects of human behavior, social practices, expressive forms such
as art, music, dance, ritual, religion, and technologies such as tool usage, cooking, shelter,
and clothing are said to be cultural universals, found in all human societies.

Simply said, culture is how you were raised. It developed while you grew up. With a computer
metaphor, culture is the software of our minds. We need shared software in order to communicate. So
culture is about what we share with those around us.
In action in social life, culture constitutes the unwritten rules of the social game.
