EE39
Final Lap Report
The final lab’s objective for our EE39 class was for us to learn how to use an oscilloscope
to look at the electrical signals that are sent from a computer keyboard and mouse and how to
interpret these signals in terms of binary code.
We accomplished this by hooking up the HP oscilloscope to the top of the
keyboard/mouse box. Looking at the scope screen my partner and I selected the measurement
mode which brings us to a graphical interface. Then we tested multiple keys by pressing them
and observing the changes in the signals in the scope. We noticed that for each key the clock
signal releases a regular series of pulses. Then later on in the lab we figured out that the unique
