First, let me talk about the similar leadership style in New Zealand and England.
We all know that leaders play an important role in companies. They propose the strategies
and determine the direction of firms. However, a one-fits-all leadership style does not exist
in the real business world. When a company enters a foreign market, the leadership style
must match the cultural context to generate optimal outcomes. Either in New Zealand or in
England, the companies focus on equal treatment in organizations. In other words, the
leadership styles in these two countries are both democratic. Although the hierarchy of
positions can be found in both countries, the leaders always attach importance to employees
suggestions and then make the final decisions after careful consideration. Democratic
leadership relates to the empowerment of subordinates and hence they could acknowledge
their sense of independence in doing their jobs. The empowerment of subordinates also
helps them to achieve their personal fulfillment. In turn, organizations can get benefits from
empowered employees.
Now our group will use a role play to show this kind of democratic leadership style.
Suppose Kiwi is a local diary company in New Zealand.
