Language Skills of Children
Language is a very complex yet very rewarding gift that parents help their child to
achieve. Language development allows a child to communicate with those around them. They
are able to problem solve, express emotions and wants. It also helps them in building
relationships with others in and out of their immediate circle. Language is the basis in which
literacy begins. In order for a child to have a solid foundation parents must spend a lot of quality
time with their child, reading, playing, singing anything that excites the child and helps them
desire to get involved tying to communicate even as an infant. If a parent fails in building this
foundation the child will fall behind all their peers and friends and the feeling they will attain
that they are dumb or stupid may very well be their start of a spiral that will continue to lead
