Executive Summary
Nestle is a leader in the coffee industry for taking such a proactive stance on
sustainable and ethical coffee production practices, according to Sustainable coffee:
Nestle looks beyond the cup. As a customer-centric company, ensuring the livelihood of
their farmers is of the utmost importance, since the farmers are internal customers.
Although Nestle is a leader in the coffee supply chain, there are many things that Hans
Jöhr can recommend to the board to ensure the long-term supply chain success.
