This could have been avoided if China had learned their lessons from the last SARS Outbreak with
regards to preparing for this type of outbreak. We could also understand why Filipinos are
panicking at the news that the corona virus has reached the shore of the country. The people are
not well informed and that mass media has been posting casualties, fatalities and how deadly this
virus more, rather than sharing more information about the prevention, procedure or things to do
when things like this happen, and nature of the virus and how it came to be. Racism against Chinese
is grown from fear of people that do not want to have this virus. We cannot blame the Filipinos to
act that way, it is because our medical support team or simply our country is not capable of
supporting or remedial and we don’t have the equipment and medical supplies that can cure an
NCOV victim. And almost two thirds of our population cannot afford to have this virus due to
financial state.
