Nature, a Beautiful Place
Imagine a world without sun, moon, stars, trees, lightening and rain. One of my firmest
beliefs is that nature is the life’s greatest luxuries. Evanescent phases moon, sunshine, sunset,
stars and lightning flying across the cloudy skies and water splashing down to the earth
represents the nature at its finest and it always leave me speechless. When I was little, I loved to
play outside and explore the nature. I used to swim in the river and fish. Playing in the corn field
and sleeping on top of the grassland was my hobby. I enjoyed all the outdoor activities. The
scenery of my village always made the experience or memories better. The smell of the fresh cut
grass and tree’s intoxicating odors lingered with me throughout the day. The sheer beauty of
nature never seizes to amaze me.
It was been two years that I had not visited my village where I had beautiful moments of
my life. My childhood had tons of memories and events connected to it. After completion of my
+2 in Science, I headed back to my village named Malika from Kathmandu, capital of Nepal.
After nine hours of driving and two hours of walking I finally reached at my home. Malika, an
ideal destination for immersion in a genuine Nepali village was surrounded by natural beauty.
Although a narrow dirt road connects the village to the rest of Nepal, the hilly terrain makes
travel to Malika difficult at best, and at times quite treacherous. Amidst a scenic wonderland,
Malika offers a truly Nepali experience. At the heart of the Mt. Dhaulagiri, the seventh tallest
mountain in the world, surrounded by hills, green landscapes with dotted farming villages,
provides a perfect excuse to relax and get away from stress. And there is nothing in the world
which can beat the pleasure of gazing around the surrounding and walking on hilly terrain. It is
pleasure and exercise.
When I got home on a spring evening, my parents welcomed me. They were very happy
to see me after a long period of time. We did a long conversion before having a dinner. After
dinner, I chatted with my younger brother and elder sister. With a plan to explore the village the
next day, I went to bed early.
I woke up early and gazed out through the window. It was a cool crisp day. There was sun
