I would say I learned and grew particularly fast as a writer by taking this English 101
course. I improved by comparing my high school essay and the three essays I have written for
this class. When I was in high school, I would always stress out about writing essays, particularly
because I don’t think they are necessarily hard, but it is just something that I am not familiar with
to do in the English language. One of my strengths in writing would be that I would always have
ideas when it comes to writing essays. When teachers or professors assigned a piece of writing to
me, I would have all kinds of ideas about what I am going to write about and the little details that
I am going to include in my writing. Although I have all the ideas implanted in my head, I would
still have a hard time putting it all on paper. It is hard for me to organize a paper according to my
