Being a “son of the enlightenment” means that many enlightenment values
were used by that “son”. Napoleon being a son of the enlightenment went beyond a above
the duties for the people of France by using the concepts of the enlightenment era like
democratic society, the separation of church and state, the idea of education of the
masses. Napoleon is a son of the enlightenment by the way he turn France from nothing
to everything.
The enlightened thinkers thought up a democratic society for people, were the
people are able to run themselves. Napoleon had the first democratic society in the world.
For the first time someone other than a king or queen ruled a country. A normal man on
