From the Ancient Greeks and Romans, to the Christians, the Hindus, and the Native Americans,
they all have their own form of a creation story. They also have their own stories of destruction. In
Ovid’s #ood, Deucalion (Prometheus’ son) essentially built his own water cra) to escape the #ood with
Pyrrha, his wife. The humans are then created by the stones that Deucalion and Pyrrha throw. The
Native Americans have a slightly (entirely) di,erent view on their views with relation to this than the
Greeks, Romans, and Christians. The Native Americans see us for what the humans really are on Earth –
just another species that needs to learn how to work in harmony with nature, animals, and Earth itself.
The Native American creation stories are more abstract as they focus on Two Brothers’ journey through
the worlds. The Romans and Greeks see humans as the dominant species that controls the rest. Our
very existence is an incredibly insigni2cant amount of time if you look at how old Earth is. During my
research into the Hindu myths of creation and destruction, I noticed that the stories are somewhat
similar with Brahma, the god of creation, creating everything. The Hindu Creation is more scienti2cally
