My short-term goal post MBA is a position at a Private Equity firm tied to Impact
Investing. Specifically, I want to deal with the acquisition and management of projects
intended to generate financial return while reducing poverty, stimulating recycling, etc.
My long-term goal, as I gain expertise and expand my network, is to start a Private Equity
firm to further develop this market and to get involved in ever-larger projects around the
world.
Great dreams shall be followed by great actions in order to accomplish with them. This
sentence could reflect the way I see my career: strong desires and hard work were some of
the elements I have used to create my own path and steadily grown in my career in
finance.
However, my professional experience has shown me that, does not matter how efficient the
financial markets are, they remain unfair. Trillions of dollars change hands every day, but a
negligible amount directly helps reduce our planets problems. Time also brought the
awareness that the natural course of my career in pure finance would not fulfill my desire
for impact. It did not matter how good I was at analyzing and choosing the best investment
products for my clients, the ultimate broader effect was very limited.
In addition, since childhood, I have always been part of a heterogeneous social structure. I
have studied in privileged schools, although living in a modest neighborhood. I grew up
observing society from different angles, routinely experiencing its huge gaps. Two of my
