Chapter 1 Question 3. In your own life, what factors have contributed to your political socialization? To
what extent were your political values shaped by your family, by school experiences, by friends, and by
the media?
In life there are many factors which contribute to one’s political view. The main influences are family,
school, and friends because these are the aspects which gives a person a majority of their character. In
my life family has raised me to believe in God and be kind to others. They have also taught me nothing
comes free and you should always be grateful for what you have. This philosophy discourages equal
redistribution because not all work is equal nor do people put in equal work. Hard work and standing up
