My Path to Literacy
As children, we did not really understand what reading or writing meant. We just got told
to read a novel and then write about what it entailed within its binding, or we got told to write a
story no matter what it was going to be about. At a point in my life I hated the thought of taking
my time to read a novel or even write about anything for that matter. I just did not see the
importance in it. I never had a teacher nor a mentor when I was younger to teach me that reading
