My First Band Spectacular
On November 8th 2018, I attended my first band concert at the Preforming Art Center in
Claremore, Oklahoma. When I was younger, through grade school I was part of a band; I use to
play piano, drums and clarinet. Through that time, I had many band concerts, but I was never in
the audience to watch the concert, it was defiantly different; but a good different. The Claremore
Band played a lot of songs that was a verity of genera. When the concert first started the
Claremore Zebra fight song was being played, which made everyone get on their feet and clap to
the music and yell “GO ZEBRAS”. They played a lot of songs that had to do with the Claremore
Zebras, it made me feel like I was in high school again and at the football games. After the band
would play songs, the director would come out and talk about the band and tell us about the
upcoming events, the competition, and all the awards that were presented to the band. They
would also play some musical classics, that you would know the tune of; but would never know
what the real song was called. One song they played was meant for a depressing, sad, or dark
moment. When listening to it, you can really tell about how can be dark and sad; with all the
instruments. But overall it was a great concert, to hear all those instruments play and stay in-
