Greek vases serve as the vast majority of sources for Greek culture. At our museum, we
are privileged to have several of these vases in our galleries to show off the beautiful Greek
culture and how they would inspire future potteries. Unfortunately, we must decide between two
vases to de-access from the collection. One of them is the Dipylon Amphora from the Geometric
era. The other is the Lekythos from the Classical period. Both served different purposes to the
Greeks and contribute to the gallery in different manners.
