A1: MUSEUM VISIT AND PAPER
Your assignment is to visit the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. If you are nervous,
take a friend or go with someone from class. Admission is $7 but it is free on Thursdays
and the first Sunday of every month (kid’s day.) Also, you can probably get in for a
reduced rate (or free) with your student ID and a copy of the assignment. I have given
you enough time to figure out transportation and work schedules if these are problems
for you. If you have any other concerns, please let me know WELL BEFORE THE DUE
DATE.
I have attached a “scavenger art hunt” for you to do. Please do your own and
enjoy your visit! (Plan to spend a few hours.)

SCANVENGER ART HUNT:
Below is a list of things that you can find in the Museum of Fine Art, Houston and/or museums in general.
Please write down the title, artist, and date of the pieces you find that fit each description There are 15
things to find and many different works that would fit each criterion. Finding 10 will count as full credit.
No double counting! Find a new work of art for each question. There are also two written questions at
the end—those are very important! One describes your visit and one is an actual well written 2 page paper
you will write at home after your visit. Make sure you don’t forget those.
