GENERAL PURPOSE: To inform
SPECIFIC PURPOSE: To inform my audience about the life of Muhammad Ali.
THESIS/Central Idea: The subject matter of the speech would be based on the early life,
achievements and other necessary details about Muhammad Ali.
Introduction:
Attention Getter: According to American Boxer, Gerry Cooney, “Muhammad Ali was the kind of
guy you either loved or hated, but you wanted to see him. I happen to really love him. He brought
boxing to another level and always made you laugh.(Gerry Cooney,1989)
Relevancy Statement: undoubtedly, Muhammad Ali is one of greatest Sportsman of all time. His
strength, pace, and ability were incomparable.
Credibility Statement: Having done sufficient research on the life of Muhammad Ali. I find myself
credible enough to speak on the life of Muhammad Ali.
