Inside Mrs. B’s Classroom
Leslie Baldacci (Mrs. B) was a Chicago press reporter for the Chicago Sun Times and
would write about the Chicago school system. After writing about the failing Chicago school
system, Baldacci decides to give up her 25 year reporting job and pursue a teaching job. After
steps of being interviewed and job applications, Baldacci received a teaching job in one of
Chicago’s toughest neighborhoods. At first she hated everything about it. “Horrible! It was a
