Jefferson Smith was an idealistic young man who was known in his state for promoting camps for boys
during the summer, he was a leader if the Boy Rangers.
The governor’s children during dinner told him about Jefferson Smith; after becoming upset with his kids
he later found himself in the office panicking in who he should choose since the people were not happy
with Taylor’s choice. He then flips on a coin to see who he should choose. That’s when the coin landed
on the side of the news paper where it showed an article that was done of Jefferson Smith.
Jim Taylor was a corrupt political boss who told the people he elected what to do. As he did for
