DRB-HICOM UNIVERSITY OF AUTOMOTIVE MALAYSIA
APPROVAL TO ORGANIZE BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN 2021
1.0 BACKGROUND
The objective of this paper is to seek the approval from the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of
the DRB-HICOM University of Automotive Malaysia (DRB-HICOM U) on the following:
i. To organize Blood Donation Campaign 2021 as our Digital Video Project-Based
entitled ‘Apa itu Derma Darah’.
1.1. The objectives of this Digital Video Project-Based are:
a. To give guidance to the society about the process of donating blood.
b. To increase aweraness about the importances of donating blood.
c. To share the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of donating blood
during this pandemic Covid-19.
1.2. The problem statements are:
a. Lack of guidance about the process of donating blood among society
b. Lack of aweraness about the importances of donating blood.
c. Decreasing number of blood donors during pandemic Covid-19 due to
MCO (Movement Control Order). This can be proven by statistic of blood
donors that are attached in Appendix 1.
1.3. Methodology
a. Creating a Digital Video Project-Based entitled ‘Apa itu Derma Darah’.
b. Research on blood donation to provide information towards the viewers.
c. Interviewing the Medical Lab Technologist (U32), Medical Transfusion
Laboratory from Nasional Blood Centre Malaysia in order to gain more
knowledge and awareness towards ‘Apa itu Derma Darah’
1.4. Target group
a. All students, lecturers and staff in DRB HICOM University
b. Society
