Theme and Overview of the Film
“Hoosiers” is a film based on the pressures of coaching a small town high school
basketball team in Indiana and having to overcome adversity to become top contenders
in the nation. Coach Norman Dale is introduced to the head coaching job and sets the
foundation of how he wants his team to operate and to follow his lead and commands.
