Every artwork has many formal qualities such as shape, size, or the purpose behind the
artwork. Art has an accent that can build a relationship with the viewer because of the colors that
were used or in the artwork there was something enlarged or isolated. Because of certain accents
in the artwork, it grabs the viewers’ attention and makes the viewer look a little more longer and
deeper into the art. When we look at an artwork we should question “how does this make me
feel, what does this mean to me, and what kind of statement is it trying to portray?” Art is in
anything and in everything, it is a part of our lifestyle such as the way we dress, apply our face or
hair, movies we watch, and in paintings we see. “The aim of art is to represent not the outward
appearance of things, but their inward significance.” (Aristotle)
