Jessica Klein_MGT300 Final Paper
Throughout the duration of this class, I have found myself interested in a few of the
different discussion posts. Each of the topics were related to chapters straight out of the book,
such as emotional labor, conflict in the workplace and, the motivation chapter. I enjoyed taking
the time to read and discuss these topics because I was able to relate to each of them with my
experience in the different work places that I have been employed with. Each of these topics
were easy to hold a discussion about due to my past employments.
Emotional labor is something that everyone should be aware of because of how important
it is in the workforce. Being able to understand what the customer wants/needs is important, even
if you have a disagreement with them. I previously worked for a company that did not want or
care what the customer wanted, and it made me understand quickly that I don’t belong there.
