To collect and sell books online to fund for literacy programs worldwide. A self-sustaining triple-
bottom company that creates value for all stakeholders on social, economic, and environmental
levels.

BWB is a global bookstore that harnesses the power of capitalism to bring literacy and opportunity
to people worldwide.
The mission statement is customer-oriented since its sole purpose is to provide literacy to those
needed.

BWB, a for-profit company, adopted a business model that ensures long-term survival than pure
charity. The money raised from book sales is split in 3 ways:
1. The donor receives a fixed percentage of net revenue based on the books sold. Libraries
usually receive 15% of the net sale price.
2. One of BWB’s major non-profit literacy partners, chosen by the donor (Books for Africa,
Invisible Children, The National Center for Family Literacy, Room to Read, and Worldfund)
receive 5% of the net sales. These literacy partners receive their entitled share whether BWB
