Misconception of the Black Church vs. Preachers of LA.
In Tilloston book The invisible Jim Crow, he discusses the “Misconception of the
Black Church”. Tilloston argues that the black church has moved away from its original
objective and has focus more on the European individualistic mentality. Black church
were often the place where people came to lay their burdens down and fight social issues
that were affecting them but as the black church has grown they have focused more on
individual needs rather that’s what is productive as a whole.
