President of Bolivia, Evo Morales, has fled from Bolivia to Mexico where he was granted
asylum. Morales has been president for fourteen years and intended to extend his power in a
fourth consecutive term. Morales called for a court appeal to rescind the legal limit for reelection
arguing that the law violated human rights. “It is up to the Bolivian people to decide.” Up to this
