Minimum Wage Debate
If you were working graveyard shi(s for a fast food restaurant and only making $7.25 for
all the complaining and whining you hear every day, wouldn’t you like a raise? I mean wouldn’t
be happy to receive $10 an hour working at McDonalds. President Obama clari1ed in his 2014
State of the Union Address that he means to raise the minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 per
hour, an expansion of more than 40 percent. But, does raising the minimum wage really help
the economy? Economists have mixed feeling about whether or not states should raise their
