1. Does Alfredo’s previous experience running a plant that made replacement windows qualify him to run
a plant that makes outdoor furniture? Justify your response.
Yes, definitely. Alfredo will make a tremendous difference as he has ample knowledge and know-how
because he has been a manager in plant production before being brought to Teracare, while Jorge plans
to do business at an international level. As an experienced plant manager in a windows production
business focusing on windows repair, Alfredo should thoroughly know the basic idea of operating
Teracare at the regional and national level.
Throughout the conference, Alfredo makes the remarks because he sees certain issues in the company
that he feels can be solved and that reflects his desire to boost the organization’s present state. He also
knows various divisions, and sees a flaw with how they communicate with each other. Nevertheless,
Alfredo may not have all the sufficient furniture expertise and abilities, such as painting and other details.
This, though, does not hinder his ability to manage the company efficiently.
Alfredo has what it takes to engage partners successfully in strategically reasoning about the problem at
hand without blaming each of them for the existing position within the company. He argues, for instance,
that the commitments made by the sales staff will make it impossible for the company to achieve delivery
on time. He points out a range of concerns which he feels are the key reasons why the business has not
achieved the anticipated impacts in enhancing quality and efficiency in production. Thee new positions
