The significant findings in the Milgram experiment cause some of the participant
traumatize and the other percentage of the participant a positive impact to them. The experiment
Milgram conducted was to teach the participant obedience by using shock therapy. He gave roles
to the participant which is a teacher and a learner. The teacher’s role was to say a list of word
pairs to the learner and deicide if whether the answer is correct or not and if the answer is
incorrect the teacher will flick the electric switch and every time the learner gets the answer
wrong then the voltage will increase by 15. The learner’s role was to sit in the shocking chair and
try their best to get the right answer, so they don’t get shock. So, like I stated before the findings
from the experiment leaving some of the participant traumatized because of the physical
harshness the electricity had on participant’s mentality. The other significant I stated about the
findings from the experiment are leaving some of the participant a positive impact to them
because they are afraid of getting shock, so they try best to get the correct answer. With that said,
these are the significant findings of the Milgram experiment according to the reading.
Although, both experiments were to test the subject’s obedience, their procedures were
different. The first significant difference that I noticed is that for Milgram’s study he uses
All in all, these are the significant differences of the two experiments.
