The Doctor
At the beginning of this movie we are introduced to a highly successful surgeon named
Jack McKee. It quickly becomes apparent that Jack, although being a highly successful surgeon,
has become detached from his family. His detachment is obviously due to his commitment and
dedication to his work. Throughout the movie it is evident that Jack is extremely good at what he
does. Even though Jack was a profound surgeon it is also clear that he has some major issues
when it comes to handling patients properly. As his mistreatment and lack of respect continue
throughout the movie, Jack soon realizes that he will have to deal with some problems of his
own. He was diagnosed with throat cancer, meaning for the first time, Jack would have to see
