1. What are the major issues facing Tom and Mason Miller?
Tom and Mason miller are facing three major issues:
a. Orders from multiple molds are declining. From the chart in the case study, we can see
the number of orders of molds and parts from 2012 to 2014 is decreasing.
b. Delivery problems. Custom Molds, Inc is consistently receiving complaints from
customers about delayed delivery.
c. Quality issue. Custom Molds, Inc has some returns because of the number of defective
parts.
d. The industry environment is changing from traditional manufacture to strategic
partnerships with timely delivery and high-quality, cost-effective products.
