Case Study #2
The patient I had was Jessica. Jessica is a 28-year old female, married and has
a high stress job as a second year as a medical resident. She has always been top
honors in her undergraduate program as well as medical school. She is her biggest
critic holding high standards for herself. Based on the information provided in my case
study, I am diagnosing my parent with Major Depression Disorder.
One of the major signs that pointed this out to me was her struggle with feeling
worthlessness and shame especially when it came to her performance in her work and
