SUBJECT: Replacement of accounting software
INTRODUCTION
I was asked by our accounting department to recommend a solution to the problems we
are having with our Sage 50 accounting software. We continue to have issues with our current
software. We are all aware of the advantages that updating this software could provide. This
report recommends that we replace our current Sage 50 software with the new QuickBooks
software.
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
I have identified three areas of focus, and the benefits we would obtain by not only
updating our software but by purchasing a new program. First, the software must meet all of our
current needs and continues growth. Second, the cost to maintain the software must remain the
same or cost less than our current software program. Third, the software must be compatible with
our bank and our IT department.
