The purpose of this memo is to provide you with my views on acquiring a new network
system, the key factors to look out for and the tradeoffs that must be considered. Choosing
a new network system can be extremely stressful and can take up a lot of time because
there are many aspects that need to be considered.
By selecting a new network system, you need to figure out what your intended uses are,
which you have already provided as managing files, word processing and accessing the
company’s database. Having the right support whenever you need assistance with the
product is very important because not all networking systems come with it. Fortunately,
there are many free resources out there that can give you support like, forums, wikis and
blogs. Hardware compatibility is a key factor to consider because the system has to be
capable of supporting the devices in use. Without it, there will be many complications, so
it is best to contact the hardware manufacturer for advice. Software compatibility will most
likely be an issue as well because there are many versions that are obsolete.
Looking into our current system and seeing if there are newer versions should be
considered because maybe whatever we need is in another version. Finding a new network
