Late and Medieval Literature
Although the Renaissance saw the rise of the arts and was helmed by great geniuses in-
cluding Leonardo DaVinci and William Shakespeare; the late middle ages really gave way to
that era of artistic exploration. The Medieval time period is characterized by extreme devotion to
the Church, but a severely low population of actually literate individuals. However, the develop-
