American media have had an incredible effect on the Dominican Republic population.
Whether is for good or bad the United States culture is inculcated in the Dominican
population. As an upper middle-income developing country, they look up to the United
States in many senses; the reason for this is that the U.S provides the developing country
with almost everything politically and economically speaking. This may be the cause of
globalization taking a positive effect on the population, therefore it seems that the culture
does not have any resistance on globalization.

“ The World is Flat” how important collaboration is to improve and get better.
When I say that the country does not have any resistance to globalization, it is because
globalization is sharing, connecting and the island is doing that with the U.S. As
Friedman says on the conference “ we need to learn to work in collaboration”; they are
doing exactly that.
Economically speaking the United States has had a massive impact on the Dominican
