We all have seen the crime fighting investigation series on Netflix or TV. I am one that is still
hooked on Law and Order SVU on NBC, but I always wondered if it is really the same as shown on TV.
There are several police units and departments that have cases escalated to them when a crime is
committed, not only do we have different crimes but also a unit that is designated to that type of crimes
to be investigated. Local police are the primary or the first in action when a 911 call has been placed, so
they are the first at the scene.
It could be a car crash, hit and run, or an unfortunate fatality of a drunk driver to a homicide.
