Abstract
The purpose of the experiment is to see if there is any relationship between density of
seeds in a given area and the number of seeds that end up sprouting. For the experiment there
were multiple plots of land, each with the same amount of soil and same amount of water, but
with three different seed concentrations: low (4 seeds per plot), medium (8 seeds per plot), and
high (12 seeds per plot).
Within a few days, seeds from all plots were beginning to sprout and it was obvious that
higher density of seeds leads to more individual seeds sprouting. When seed density was higher,
there was a higher average number of seeds that sprouted, but the sprouts themselves did not
